BRANSON, MO. —  C.J. Newsom, the lovely and talented star of the multi-award-winning “Patsy Cline Remembered” show, is heading into 2016 with a new name for the show, “Classic Country’s Patsy Cline & Friends,” a new venue, the Americana Theatre, and a brand new comedian in the form of legendary Branson entertainer Terry “Homer Lee” Sanders.

Sanders, better known around these parts as “The Face of Branson,” or “Homer Lee,” or “Grandma Beulah,” or “Terry the Tour Guide,” or even “Joan of the Ozarks,” is a producer, entertainer and comedian who has been a part of the Branson Live Entertainment scene for 37 years. Millions of people have enjoyed his runs as featured comedian in shows such as “The Braschler Music Show,” “Pierce Arrow,” the “Grand Jubilee” and “The Branson Brothers Show,” as well as regular performances at Silver Dollar City and Shepherd of the Hills. Now he’s the newest member of the “Classic Country’s Patsy Cline & Friends” cast, and he couldn’t be happier.

“I have known C.J. and her wonderful husband, Chris, for many Grama - Largeyears, and we’re thrilled about the whole prospect of what we can do together,” Terry said with his trademark smile. “This partnership gives me the chance to do more of what I love to do.

“I was out of the music show business for a while … so I’m excited about being back in a country music show, as well as giving my fan base the chance to see me back on stage.”

In addition to being one of the area’s most popular acts, Terry has been named Comedian of the Year FOUR times. He’s also served as “Barney Fife” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual “MDA Lockup” event, shared the silver screen alongside actors like Annie Potts, Leslie Nielsen and Tim Curry, and shared the stage with Bob Hope, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Terry also worked with Roy Clark, Minnie Pearl and Grandpa Jones on the TV show “Hee-Haw,” and even hosts his own show, “Branson Country with Terry the Tour Guide” on the Vacation Channel. Terry has performed at America’s No. 1 outdoor Drama, the “Shepherd of the Hills,” for the past 15 seasons. Nowadays, he’s joined by his wife and their two sons in the play.

Terry - SmallNot only is Terry an avid “people watcher,” but he uses his keen observations of day-to-day life to keep his material fresh and his audiences in stitches. It was Minnie Pearl who said it best, “Terry’s one of the best and honey, I’ve seen a lot!”

Terry will be sure to bring the funny stuff when he joins C.J. and her band, the Re-Cliners, as they take audiences on a trip back to a time when those classic songs first hit the airwaves. From C.J.’s sultry vocals on Patsy’s greatest hits, to the high-energy, foot-stomping arrangements of Garth Brooks, every well-known country melody comes alive, thrilling audiences of all ages.

The “Classic Country’s Patsy Cline & Friends” show will perform7:30 p.m. shows on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Americana Theatre beginning in April, 2016. The “#1 Hits of the 60’s & 50’s, too” and the “70’s Music Celebration starring Barry Williams” will also call the Americana home next season.
